WELCOME
Superheroes don’t wear capes, they wear activewear and lycra. Meet the athletes who are integrating into sports while living with a disability.
HELLO I’M CASEY HYDE
Social inclusion is the key to life.
I’m the founder of this website, I decided that it’s time to build up the inclusive community in Australia by promoting people stories about their sporting journeys.
When I was trying out sports, my favourite sports were swimming, Cycling and Running.
I didn’t know that triathlons would be the hardest sport for someone with vision loss to participate in. I just gave this sport a go, I loved having a guide as I made a new friend. The social inclusion was fantastic.
I always wanted to be a good role model, and help others achieve their goals. I represented my country in triathlon and Duathlon. Representing my country at world championships is pretty impressive. Especially winning at both races.
I was the first female in Australia to do a full Ironman in Western Australia in 2016. If you can do an ironman you can do anything.
